Expanding Maternal Health Services Across Rural Communities!!!
Maternal health remains one of the most pressing challenges in underserved communities. Every year, thousands of women face pregnancy and childbirth without access to trained medical professionals or equipped facilities. Our expanded maternal health program addresses this gap by deploying mobile health units to remote villages, training community health workers in prenatal care, and establishing referral networks with regional hospitals.
In the first quarter alone, we have reached over 1,200 expectant mothers with regular checkups, nutritional supplements, and birth planning. The program also includes a 24-hour helpline staffed by midwives who can provide guidance and dispatch emergency transport when needed.
Local health workers are the backbone of this initiative. We have trained 45 community health volunteers who conduct home visits, monitor high-risk pregnancies, and facilitate safe deliveries. Their presence in the community builds trust and ensures continuity of care.
